a small and stylish base unit.

Emulation
The AX3000 / 5250 Platine Terminal provides 5250 Terminal type
IBM 3477-FC features:
- colour support
- screen sizes: 80x24 and 132x27
- full 5250 status line functionality
- a terminal name can be negotiated for
each session (DEVNAME)
- PC keyboard support giving IBM 5250 keyboard
functionality
Heterogeneous
Environments
The 'Multi-Host' feature enables the AX3000 / 5250 Platine Terminal
to hot-key between sessions on a wide range of computers and
operating systems, using the following standard or optional emulations:
- ANSI emulations adapted to match the major
Unix operating systems: AIX IBM, Linux, etc.
- VT220, WYSE 60/120, QVT, etc.
The VNC
Graphical Protocol
Through the embedded VNC protocol the AX3000 (models 65 and 65E)
provides a graphical interface ideal for web-browsers, email
and other GUI based applications.
The Quick
Set-Up
In one quick and easy step the 'Quick Set-Up' lets the user set
a basic configuration. More advanced configuration can be performed
later if necessary.
The Platine Terminal and TCP/IP Functionality
The following TCP/IP services are provided by the AX3000 / 5250
Platine Terminal to AS/400 users.
Multi-Session
The AX3000 / 5250 Platine Terminal supports up to 4 independent
and concurrent sessions. Each session is a virtual terminal with
its own settings (emulation, function keys, video attributes
etc). The user can hot-key between these sessions to access different
applications on different platforms. For example:
- Session 1: AS/400 (5250 emulation)
- Session 2: AIX (HFT emulation)
- Session 3: Web and Email (VNC protocol) (AX3000
models 65 and 65E only)
- Session 4: Telnet Session to remote server
over a WAN
Print
Server
The embedded LPD Print Server controls the two serial ports and
one parallel port, making connected printers accessible to all
users on the network. As LPD is supported by most major operating
systems (OS/400, AIX, NT, LINUX, SCO, etc.) connected printers
are available as network resources.

Downloading
The AX3000 / 5250 Platine Terminal is equipped with flash memory
allowing easy upgrading and addition of new features.
