Axel are pleased to introduce the M85, the next generation of Ultra Thin clients.
Introduction
The M85 is very similar with the M75D:
- Metal case with the same dimensions than M75
- Same connectors than M75 (1 VGA port,2 PS/2
port, 2 serial ports, 1 parallel port, 1 network port 10/100BT and 2
USB ports)
But as the M80F, the M85 brings major performance improvements,
allowing thin-clients to be deployed in new applications where
previously PCs were seen as the only viable solution. The graphics
sub-system now provides:
- High and wide resolution support: up to 1920x1200.
- "True Color" support.
- VERY HIGH PERFORMANCE graphics engine. (for displaying flash, scrolling graphical documents etc).
The Wireless Interface
The M85 provides as an optional feature a wireless interfaceThe wireless driver is embedded in Axel’s ‘no operating system’
architecture. The interface is compliant with 802.11b and 802.11g.
Axel’s wireless implementation currently provides the following
security levels:
- Encryption: WEP, WPA and WPA2
- Authentication: LEAP and PEAP (ms-chap V2)

Multi-Environment Terminal
The M85 is a multi-session and multi-environment terminal, supporting up to 6 concurrent sessions:
- RDP/ICA protocol,
- VNC protocol,
- Virtual Desktop (VMware View Client & Citrix XEN Desktop),
- Telnet or ssh protocol (emulation ANSI, VT....),
- 5250 or 3270 protocol.The M85 provides full support for local and networked printers. (Windows, Unix/Linux and As/400).
