VNC Server:
An embedded VNC server is now available. It allows a full remote control of the terminal (set-up, text-based session, graphics sessions).
The new AxRM V3 (from www.axel.com) offers an embedded VNC client, or any generic VNC client can be used.

RemoteApp:
This new Microsoft feature allows published applications and Windows virtual desktops to be supported. (Requires Windows 2008 R2).

Applications Desktop:
The Citrix Application Desktop feature (similar to the WEB interface) has been improved:
   - The desktop no longer takes one of the six sessions.
   - Icons are displayed in true color mode for XenApp 6.
   - A 'Logon expiration' option is available.

USB 2:
The main benefit is a significant performance improvement when using local mass storage (memory sticks, CD/DVD readers...).

Miscellaneous:
   - Citrix: audio input support (microphone)
   - RDP/ICA: color mouse pointer support

For all models

Text-based Session Display:
The text-based session (5250, 3270, telnet) display had been improved. New options are:
   - A 1280x1024-fullscreen mode
   - Double-size characters
   - Window decoration can be disabled

Local Clock Management:
Unlike a PC, there is no local clock (with battery) in Axel terminals. To provide a local clock we have introduced support for a time client (NTP protocol). This allows the time to be obtained when the terminal is powered on and displayed within the local status bar.

Miscellaneous:
   - Option to not release the DHCP IP address when the terminal is shutdown
   - 'Cut & Paste' improvement: SYLK format support for spreadsheets
   - 'National Language' negotiation with 5250 emulation
   - SSH V2 (as a standard feature for models 80/85 and as an option for other models)
